Fitness Defined
Fitness
— The relative ability of an individual (or population) to survive and reproduce in a given environment. The ‘fit’ of an organism to its environment.
Nutrition
— The taking in and use of food and other nourishing material by the body. Nutrition is a 3-part process. First, food or drink is consumed. Second, the body breaks down the food or drink into nutrients. Third, the nutrients travel through the bloodstream to different parts of the body where they are used as “fuel” and for many other purposes. To give the body proper nutrition, a person has to eat and drink enough of the foods that contain key nutrients.
Physical Training
— A set of attributes a person has in regards to a person’s ability to perform physical activities that require aerobic fitness, endurance, strength, or flexibility and is determined by a combination of regular activity and genetically inherited ability.
Healthy Living
— The absence of disease or injury along with physical, mental, and functionally, as the ability to cope with everyday activities, or positively, as fitness and well-being. The general condition of body and mind.
